Following your team, and finding someone to go with

A World Cup pulls fans from every country into the same handful of cities. Half the battle is the ticket. The other half is who you watch the match with.

Every few years a tournament drops a few hundred thousand people into cities that aren't their own, all chasing the same thing: a seat, and someone to share it with. You can sort the seat. The harder part, the part that turns a trip into a story, is who's next to you when your team scores.

That's the whole idea behind Kissbait, and a tournament is where it gets obvious. You already know the fixture. You already know the city. What you don't have is the person, and a stranger who flew in for the same match has more in common with you than most matches you'll make at home.

The ticket comes first, and it comes safely

Tournament tickets are where people get burned: a screenshot that turns out to be fake, cash handed over in a hotel lobby, a QR code that won't scan at the turnstile. Escrow fixes the incentive. The money stays put until the ticket is confirmed, so nobody is trusting a stranger on faith.

  • List or find a seat for the exact fixture you're going to.
  • Match with someone going to the same match, verified before you meet.
  • Pay through escrow, so the ticket changes hands before the money does.
  • Meet at the ground, in a crowd of eighty thousand people there for the same reason.

Then you've got a city to share

A match is two hours. The trip is days. There's a fan zone, there's the night before, there's the long lunch while you wait for kickoff. Meeting someone who came for the same reason means you've got company for the parts of the trip that aren't on the ticket, in a city where you might not speak the language and don't yet know a soul.

Flying across the world for ninety minutes is easy. Doing it alone is the part nobody tells you about.

You don't have to be looking for romance for this to work. Plenty of people just want someone to watch the match with who cares as much as they do. The app sorts for that too. The point is that you land somewhere far from home with a plan and a person, not just a printout.
